Will it run on my computer?
Exporting 4K video needs a graphics chip with hardware video encoding, which most computers from 2017 onwards have. Find out for sure before you subscribe.
This encodes a few seconds of 4K test video on your computer, to measure how fast your exports will be. Nothing is uploaded.
Minimum requirements
| Windows | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
|---|---|
| Mac | Apple M1 or newer, on macOS 13 or later |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GTX 1050, AMD RX 400 series, or Intel 7th generation or newer |
| Memory | 8 GB, or 16 GB for 4K |
| Disk space | Free space of about 1.5 times the size of your video |
| Browser | Chrome or Edge, or use the desktop app. Firefox and Safari work with some limits. |
- Older or very basic graphics chips may play 1080p but struggle with 4K H.265.
- Most action cameras record 4K in H.265. Without a hardware decoder for it, the preview stays blank.
- Run the system check before subscribing. It tests your computer with real video in a few seconds.
