Terms of Service
Last updated 1 November 2026. These terms are written to be read. The important parts are the free export limit, how renewal works and how to cancel.
1. Who we are
Framemetry is run by Thomas Fletcher, Botany NSW 2019, Australia ("we"). You can reach us at support@framemetry.com.
By ticking the box when you create an account, or by using a paid plan, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Framemetry.
2. What the service does
Framemetry draws data such as speed, heart rate and your route on top of your videos. It works in your browser or in our desktop app, on your own computer. Your videos and activity files are not uploaded to us.
It needs a computer with suitable hardware. The system check tests yours and is a good guide, but it can't promise how every file will behave.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 to use Framemetry, and old enough to enter a contract where you live to buy a subscription. Keep access to your email account secure, because it is how you sign in. An account is for one person.
4. Free exports
You can use the editor without an account. With a free account you get two exports, each with a visible Framemetry watermark. This is a limit per person, not per account.
You agree not to create extra accounts, use throwaway email addresses, or otherwise work around this limit. To enforce it we keep hashed signals described in our Privacy Policy. We may refuse free exports where we reasonably believe the limit is being avoided.
5. Subscriptions
Who sells it. Paid plans are sold through Link, the merchant of record service run by Stripe. Your purchase and payment are handled by them under their terms, and they appear on your receipt and card statement. Framemetry provides the software.
Price. The current price is shown before you pay. Listed prices include sales tax, VAT or GST where it applies. Your bank may charge its own currency conversion fee.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and your payment method is charged, until you cancel. You'll get renewal reminders by email before anniversary dates.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account page, or through Link. There is no cancellation fee. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and then the subscription ends.
Founding member price. If you take the founding member offer, your price stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel or your payment lapses, the offer ends and can't be restored.
Price changes. We can change prices for future periods. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, it is retried for a short time. If it keeps failing, the subscription ends and exports go back to the free limits.
Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
6. Your licence to use the software
While you have an account in good standing, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Framemetry. A subscription covers one person on up to three computers. Exports made during a paid subscription are yours to keep after it ends.
You agree not to: remove or hide the trial watermark; get around licence checks or export limits; resell or sublicense the software; or copy, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law says you may do so regardless of this clause.
Framemetry includes open-source components under their own licences, listed on the notices page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
7. Your footage and data
You own your videos, your activity data and the exports you make. We claim no rights over them, and because they stay on your computer we never receive them, apart from activities you choose to send through Garmin Connect, explained below.
You are responsible for having the right to use your footage and for following the law where you film and publish, including privacy, recording and road rules. Keep your own copies. We can't recover files on your computer.
8. Use it safely, and don't rely on the numbers
Don't operate Framemetry while riding, driving or doing anything else that needs your attention. Numbers come from your devices and are shown as recorded or estimated. GPS, speed, heart rate and sync can be wrong. Don't rely on them for navigation, safety, medical, legal or insurance purposes. Publishing footage that shows your speed may have legal consequences, and that is your decision and responsibility.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use Framemetry to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to harass people, to interfere with our systems, or to make misleading records, such as altered data presented as genuine.
10. Other companies' products
Framemetry reads files made by many devices and services. Garmin, GoPro, DJI, Strava, Wahoo and other names are trademarks of their owners. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by them, and a change to their products or file formats may affect compatibility.
Garmin Connect. This isn't available yet, and it only opens if Garmin approves it. If you connect your Garmin Connect account, your use of it stays under Garmin's own terms. The connection and its data are provided by Garmin as they are, with no promises from Garmin to you. Garmin doesn't provide or endorse Framemetry, and to the extent the law allows, it isn't liable to you for the connection, its data or Framemetry. Videos and other material made with data from this connection show a credit to Garmin and your device model, and you agree not to remove or hide it. We or Garmin can end this connection at any time, and you can still add activity files by hand.
11. Changes to the service
We improve Framemetry over time, which can mean changing or removing features. If a change substantially reduces what you're paying for, you can cancel and we'll refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
12. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
In Australia: our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
In the UK and EU: you keep your statutory rights, including rights about digital content that isn't as described. See the Refund Policy for your right to withdraw.
13. Limits on our responsibility
Apart from the rights above that can't be excluded, Framemetry is provided as it is and without other promises. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost footage, or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying for it to be supplied again.
14. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time and delete your account from your account page. We can suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we close an account without a breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you and ask you to accept the new version before your next export. If you don't accept, you can cancel, and we'll refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
16. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts can hear disputes. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections of your home country and can bring claims in your local courts. Please contact us first, because most problems can be fixed by email.
