How to export a FIT file from Garmin Connect
Download the original file of any activity from Garmin Connect, ready to use with your video.
Garmin keeps the original FIT file of every activity, and that's the best source because it has all the data your device recorded.
On a computer
- Sign in to Garmin Connect in a web browser.
- Open the activity.
- Click the gear icon near the top right.
- Choose Export Original. A zip file downloads.
- Drag the zip straight into Framemetry, without needing to unzip it.
From the watch itself
Connect the watch by USB and look in the GARMIN/Activity folder. Those FIT files can be used directly.
